Trigger Warning: Whilst this is written with the truth in mind and the healing of my people at heart, I understand that some may find this offensive. This is not about condemning ones thoughts, beliefs or practices but about stimulating critical thinking

“Up you mighty race, you can accomplish what you will!”
The Honourable Marcus Mosiah Garvey
Britian’s past as tyrants has never been a secret. Thoroughly documented in the history books, proudly taught in schools and shamelessly embraced through museums with stolen artefacts and remains of African indigenous ancestors. Britain has always boasted its wickedness to the public and several centuries later, remains (unsurprisingly) unapologetic about it. In fact, in a recent Good Morning Britan segment, the romanticism and delusions continue with some Brits going as far as to say, ‘good things came from colonialism’: education and sanitation being the first two.
In this day and age, there are still some highly ignorant people that believe non-white lands were uneducated simply because we didn’t speak a European language, worship their god or follow their way of life. Their way of life, that according to the history books was quite barbaric, and their spiritual practices and beliefs had them doing outrageous things like engaging in bestiality and incest, and murdering African men, women and children, then using our ancestors body parts as trophies and tableware. Contrary to falsified history, Africans are highly intelligent beings, and at the time of Europeans first encountering us, they marvelled at our knowledge and understanding of how nature could be used to sustain life and health. The realisation of our intellect, resourcefulness, innovative minds, humility, and hard workmanship, and the abundance in resources that we had been blessed with awakened envy and greed amongst their explorers, thus leading to the mass trafficking and murder of billions of us that continues to this day. Education was not introduced to us by the Europeans; on the contrary it was us who educated them. They then proceeded to commit identity fraud and rewrote history, so the world would believe that everything started with them, pretending to be more advanced than they actually are, destroying centuries worth of human history and hoarding what’s left, all to maintain their delusions. Whilst we were living relatively peaceful lives, in the ways in which our ancestors taught us, they were plotting our demise, finding ways to make the world revolve around them (narcissistic much?!).
Furthermore, in the earlier days of their invasion, ‘sanitation’ had not yet found itself in their vocabulary. Queen Elizabeth I was ruling England in the infancy of colonialism, and she was dubbed the cleanest person in England at that time. What made her so clean? Bathing a grand total of TWICE per year. During this same era and for the subsequent years to come, England had not yet established sanitation in its own lands as it was common practice for the English man/woman to throw their bathwater and excrement out the window into the streets when they had their annual (if that) bath and when they had relieved themselves. How can a people with such filthy practices and a ruler that barely understands personal hygiene, teach another people about sanitation(?). In fact, all these years later, in the era of neo-colonialism, identity theft at its height and essentially what one could perceive to be European world domination, many of these people still don’t have good personal hygiene practices. They publicly confess to not using washcloths, and this is the best-case scenario. Many don’t wash their legs/feet, consider swimming a form of bathing, and changing underwear daily is not necessarily a ‘norm’ within their community. To add insult to injury, many of them don’t was their hands and only started washing their hands during the most recent pandemic—and this was because their government instructed them to do so.
Now let’s not get it twisted, we all know that there are some ‘coconuts’ in our community that their personal hygiene is questionable and we wonder who raised them, but generally speaking, it is acknowledged as a rule of thumb amongst the Afrikan diaspora that daily bathing is a must and the bare minimum. In contrast, the European community do not hold hygiene in such a high regard and they in fact used to share bathwater. The wealthy sharing their bathwater with their families, and the ‘peasants’ would share a communal bathing space meaning hundreds if not thousands of strangers would all take turns to bath in the same water. So not only did they rarely bathe, when they did, they were soaking in some random strangers filth…
I try to understand how these people perceive themselves to be the height of all that is great when their own history and the state of the world today suggests otherwise. The more one reads to understand, participates in critical thinking and analyses them as a people, one wonders how they have managed to attain such global power and control—truly, you must give props where props are due because they appear to be highly skilled manipulators. How else could they have done it?
In hearing their warped perceptions and mindsets and trying to understand them, I struggle to comprehend how the GOD of the Bible is their god when a simple read through the Bible (and again, use of critical thinking), will make one question which god they serve. They show no respect for the dead, no remorse for their past, no sorrow for the trauma they inflict and are seemingly unaware of their own callousness. Whilst they try to gaslight themselves into believing that there was some ‘good’ that came from slavery, the evidence suggests otherwise. Should we be grateful that they turned the skull of our ancestor into a chalice? Should we show adoration to them for how they treated the body of Sarah Baartman both in life and death? Should we embrace the ‘goodness’ of them castrating the Black man because of their own inferiority complexes and sometimes forcing other Africans to eat the manhood? Or maybe we should show them love and adoration for keeping the gold tooth of Patrice Lumumba after they dissolved his body in acid?????? These are the people that taught us Christianity—a religion that we only know BECAUSE of colonialism. A religion that was intentionally taught to us to subdue us, to control our minds and to water down our rebellious spirit. Whilst they were teaching us about a god (because The GOD/The Creator that I know does not condone the wickedness they indulge in), they were disrespecting the remains of our ancestors, and disregarding our lives, dehumanising us and treating us less than animals—the complete opposite of what the Bible teaches and what GOD’s law says. Furthermore, the psychospiritual warfare is even deeper, because whilst they were attacking the Afrikan spirit, simultaneously, they were entangling us socioeconomically, forcing us to attend their universities and absorb their teachings. They relegated our educational and spiritual systems to force us into integrating with them. They sent missionaries into Africa and the Caribbean, pushing their doctrines unto our people, murdering those that wouldn’t comply/would rebel, and creating a system in which you either do things their way, or die.
Now, in the 21st century, many of our parents, grandparents, elders etc, dream of us attending the highest standing European educational institutes, many of which were founded in the colonial epoch. Meanwhile, they casually drank from an African woman’s skull as a symbol of their own greatness and stature. Do we understand that whilst so many of us aspire to fit in with the Jones’s they see our dead bodies as trophies of triumph and symbols of their own regality and success? If it was an Afrikan participating in such a practice, the greater Afrikan community would waste no time in calling said person a witch, devil, ‘juju master’ or any other term of wickedness. Yet the same energy is not maintained when the European does such. Some Afrikan’s criticise and condemn, some start to question the bigger picture, the life they have been told to live, and the reality they are feeding into. But too many of us refuse to connect the dots, ask greater and deeper questions, critically think about the truth, and dive into our cognitive dissonance to undo the centuries of warfare that has been done. Psycho-spiritually, many people of African descent are so unconsciously Europeanised, that we will first condemn and reject the practises of our people that predate colonialism and instead remain in the comfort zone of spiritual oppression, simply out of fear. A perceived fear that has been unconsiously instilled in us through manmade European religion, the trauma and learnt behaviour of watching many of our Greats who dare step outside of the box die. A fear that we hold on to not because we are too weak to overcome it, but because we are too intimidated to face it.
There is much literature out there to decolonise the Afrikan mind:
How Europe Underdeveloped Africa by Walter Rodney
The Iceman Inheritance: Prehistoric Sources of Western Man’s Racism, Sexism and Aggression by Michael Bradley
Afrikan People & European Holidays: A Mental Genocide I & II by Ishakamusa Barashango
The Science of Self: Man, GOD and the Mathematical Language of Nature by Supreme Understanding and C’BS Alife Allah
The Bible
The Quran
The question is:
Are you ready to question your own beliefs?
Are you prepared to go against the matrix?
Are you willing to seek knowledge beyond the parameters of what you have been told is ‘righteous’?
The journey to finding oneself has its challenges, but in the end, you find the light within you that they have worked so hard to put out. You find the light of your ancestors, in your spirit—they already live in your DNA, you’re simply realigning yourself to reignite the flame of you bloodline in the realm of physics. Biologically you exist because they did, and spiritually you will reawaken because they are. The Europeans have worked hard to extinguish the Afrikan in body, mind and spirit, they have even manipulated their own people to have them believe in lies and half-truths. But it is our responsibility to actively work to question the reality that we feed, to go against the grain and detach from the sadistic world in which we live. A world where we physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually fund our own oppression but complain about the lack of outpour into our liberation.
What’s stopping us from manifesting great schools built on a legacy of pride, humanity and love?
What’s stopping us from knowing GOD outside of the constructs of manmade religion that’s underlying principle is suffering?
What’s stopping us from honouring our ancestors and paying reverence to those that fought to survive so we can live?
The truth is, nothing is stopping us, we are stopping ourselves.
“Up you mighty race, you can accomplish what you will!”
