A Never-Ending Cycle

Less than 12 months ago, the UK streets were alight with chaos and anarchy, when a young Black boy was persecuted for terrorism following the murder of three innocent children. Who would have thought that the May 2025 Bank holiday, when the Liverpudlian streets were filled joyous festivities (even under the gloomy trademark weather of Great Britain), another madman would arise, traumatising the people all over again. This time however, the 53-year-old white Brit is not considered a terrorist. This fact is unsurprising to many non-white Brits as we have grown used to such terminology only being reserved for those that are considered a ‘minority’ in this land, but this highlights the issues and flaws within the system that the very system itself has acknowledged, yet those in charge fail to make the appropriate changes.

The British police force has been known to be prejudice in its dealings, and documents like ‘The Race Report’ have highlighted this. Yet, time and time again, the powers that be remain biased in their approach to dealing with criminals, labelling some, in a way that puts entire communities at risk, whilst being selective with the language they use to describe their own, lest their own community get treated the way they treat others that commit similar crimes. Several charges have been filed against the perpetrator, most of which are related to GBH at best, which in my opinion is not enough. According to reports, multiple children were injured in this incident and almost 100 people were physically affected, not to mention the hundreds/thousands more that will have mental scars for the rest of their lives. Yet somehow, this act is not seen as terrorism, and no charges of attempted murder have been filed. To drive straight into a crowd of people at a festival of celebration is definitely more than GBH in my humble opinion, especially where young children are concerned. But oh, the double standards of UK law enforcement.
Each day when one looks at the country known as Great Britan, one can only hope that the people in charge of this land will look at their laws, policies, and actions of the past and present, and make the changes necessary to redeem their own souls, to cleanse their hands, and to start treating people as humanely as they treat their own. The sad part about this whole ordeal is that none of us are surprised at the outcome, in fact, we would have been shocked had they used the same adjectives and portrayed the perpetrator in the same way that they portray non-white criminals. They are unashamed in their double standard, unapologetic in their abysmal truth and unchanging in their ways.
The best thing we can do as non-white folk is accept their society and institutes as they are. If they wanted to change, they’ve been given ample time to do so, and they’re choosing not to. The world is vast, and in truth, we are the global majority, meaning when the narcissism of their society gets too much, we can leave and find corners of the Earth where we only have to deal with them very minimally. This is the unfortunate truth—integration comes at a cost, and it only seems to serve those with a European phenotype with the harshest parts of reality being imposed onto those with higher concentrations of eumelanin. In an idealistic world, integration would be great, but this latest tragedy that has affected the young and the old alike has yet again highlighted to me that its one rule for us and one rule for them, and we are not any closer to things changing. In 2025, the bias is blatant and undeniable when the British media defines a white man who attempts to murder hundreds as a ‘professional’ but a man or woman of another race and/or religion would not be given the same grace…
